Three good reasons to look again
The diagnosis doesn’t sit right
Labels that accumulated over the years without ever quite fitting, a recent diagnosis you want examined before building on it, or a question that’s never been looked at carefully: autism, ADHD, or something else.
The plan has stalled
Several medications or approaches tried without the progress you hoped for, and a sense that no one has stepped back to ask why. A fresh formulation can change what the next step should be.
A big decision is ahead
Starting or stopping medication, pursuing a full evaluation, changing school supports. Decisions like these deserve an independent look before you commit to them.

One consultation, in full depth
Records review
Prior evaluations and testing, school reports, treatment history, notes from other clinicians. I read everything you send before we meet, so the consultation starts from what’s already known, not from zero.
An unhurried consultation
In-depth time together by video, with parents for a child or teen, and with a support person welcome at any age. We go through the history, the question you’re bringing, and how I see the picture.
Written impressions
A clear written summary: how I understand the diagnosis and the current plan, where I agree, where I’d look further, and the options worth discussing, in plain language, written to be shared with your treating clinician if you wish.
Honest framing
What it is, and what it isn’t
A second opinion here is exactly one thing: an independent physician’s review with a clear deliverable. You’re not signing up for ongoing care, and there’s no expectation that you’ll transfer your care to me. It’s designed to strengthen the care you’re already in, and with your permission, I’m glad to share my impressions directly with your treating clinician.
It also has honest limits. A second opinion is a consultation, not a full diagnostic evaluation. If your question turns out to need one, I’ll say so plainly, and we can talk about what that would involve, here or elsewhere. And it’s clinical, for you and your family: I don’t provide court, custody, disability, or other forensic evaluations.
Like everything at Attuna, a second opinion begins with the short inquiry form. Tell me the question you’re bringing, and I’ll confirm whether this is the right tool for it before anything is scheduled. Fees are discussed before scheduling and confirmed in writing.
